Molly Charlton – Office Administrator

Molly hails from Decatur, Georgia just outside Atlanta. If you’ve ever talked to her, you would still hear that smooth southern drawl. Her first memory of church goes back to the very rural Wesley Chapel Methodist Church (Decatur) where she would attend with her parents and grandparents. Eventually they moved to “town” when she was three years old and began attending North Decatur Methodist Church where her mother was also the secretary for many years. Molly was confirmed and joined the church in the fifth grade.

She moved to Tampa in 1983 and worked for United Way and the American Cancer Society. In 1986 she met and married her husband Steve. They have three daughters, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She began her career at First United Methodist Church of Land O’ Lakes on July 1, 1996. Molly has faithfully served FUMC for over twelve years. Her cheerful attitude and compassionate heart truly make her the delight of the church office.

• Hobbies: reading novels, playing with her two cockatiels – Buddy and Charlie
