Director of Infant Day Care
Becky Colson – Infant Care Director
Becky was born and raised in the town of Fortville in central Indiana. It was a small, one stop light Midwestern town where everyone knew everyone. She can’t remember not attending Sunday school or church services. Every Sunday after church she would walk to her grandparents’ house with her sister and brothers. Most of the time she stayed with her Great Grandma and walked home with her or helped her into Grandpa’s car when she could no longer make the walk. When Becky moved away, her Grandma told her to find a church, get involved, and make friends. From that time on she has followed her Grandma’s advice every time she moved to a new place.
In almost every church Becky has attended, she has been very active in the Sunday school program. Before joining the FUMC staff in July of 2008 she served as Superintendent of Sunday school for approximately sixteen years. She loves to read, work in her yard, and help her neighbor with his projects. She is also a great cook according to her boys, Kristoffer and Andrew, whom Becky considers her greatest accomplishments.
She is very excited to be a part of the Infant Care Ministry. As the director she truly desires to be a friendly face for families who may not have a church home and to provide the highest professional care in a loving Christian atmosphere for their precious little gifts. Becky is a great addition to the FUMC ministry.
